Thinking about coming but still have a few questions? You’re not alone. Here’s what people usually want to know.
No, not at all. This weekend is suitable for complete beginners as well as those who already have an interest in herbs and natural remedies. Everything is taught step-by-step and you will learn by doing, not just by listening.
During the weekend, you will learn how to grow, harvest, prepare and make your own herbal remedies. This may include tinctures, oils, salves, teas and other herbal preparations depending on the season and what plants are available.
You will be making your own remedies to take home with you.
Your ticket includes:
All workshops and teaching across the weekend
All materials and ingredients needed for the remedies you make
Camping on the land (tent or campervan)
A full weekend learning experience in nature
Use of the facilities
Food:
Food is not included in the ticket price, but affordable meals and snacks are available to purchase on site, or you are very welcome to bring and cook your own food.
Accommodation upgrades (optional extras):
Glamping bell tent (+ additional cost)
Shared indoor accommodation bed (+ additional cost)
All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If you cancel or do not attend for any reason, you will not receive a refund, so we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance.
If we have to cancel the workshop, you will be offered a transfer to another event or a credit voucher to use at a future event.
You can stay:
In your own tent (included)
In your campervan (included)
In a glamping bell tent (additional cost)
In shared indoor accommodation (additional cost per bed)
You will select your accommodation option on the booking form.
Yes, many people come on their own. The weekend is very friendly and relaxed, and people usually get to know each other very quickly because you are learning and making things together
After booking, you will be sent a full “What to Bring” list, but in general you will need:
Your tent or campervan (unless glamping)
Bedding or sleeping bag
Warm clothes and waterproofs
Notebook and pen
Mug and water bottle
Suitable outdoor footwear
This workshop will still go ahead in most weather conditions — this is Wales after all, and the rain is what keeps everything so beautifully green.
We have indoor and covered spaces available, so the weekend will still run even if the weather is wet. Some parts of the weekend, such as plant walks and foraging, will still take place outdoors, so please bring suitable clothing, waterproofs and sturdy footwear.
Only in very extreme or unsafe weather conditions would we need to postpone the workshop. If this happens, you will be offered a transfer to another date or a credit voucher.
Come and spend a weekend on the land learning traditional, practical skills that used to be passed down through families — and take home remedies, knowledge and confidence that will stay with you for life.
