10th - 12th JuLy 2026 - Mother and daughter reconnection retreat - South west Wales

A Weekend to Reconnect, Slow Down, and Truly Spend Time Together

Limited spaces to keep the weekend small, calm and personal

There was a time when time together felt easier

Before the rush of daily life
Before screens, schedules, and everything in between

When connection happened naturally

When conversations flowed
When time together felt simple

Somewhere along the way, that changed

Life got busy
Days filled up
And those moments became harder to find

This weekend is about creating that space again

A chance to slow everything down
To spend real, uninterrupted time together

To talk
To laugh
To just be

Not rushing
Not distracted

Just… together

10th - 12th JuLy 2026 - Mother and daughter reconnection retreat - South west Wales

Is this the time you’ve been needing together?

To help you decide if this weekend workshop is the right fit, here is a clear snapshot of the key details and who it is for

What is this Weekend About?

This weekend is about creating space to reconnect

Time away from the busyness of everyday life
Time without distractions pulling you in different directions

A chance to slow everything down and just be together

To talk
To listen
To understand each other again

No pressure
No expectations

Just real time, shared together

What You will Experience

Over the weekend, you’ll experience:

Gentle, shared moments designed to bring you closer

Time in nature, away from everyday noise

Space for real conversations without interruption

Creative and relaxed time side by side

Campfire evenings filled with laughter and connection

Nothing forced
Nothing overwhelming

Just a natural space for connection to happen

Who it’s for

This weekend is for mums and daughters aged between 8–14

For those who:

Feel like time together has become rushed or distracted

Want to reconnect before the teenage years fully take over

Miss those easy moments of just being together

Want to create memories that actually last

Feel that quiet pull to spend more meaningful time together

🌿 WHAT YOU’LL TAKE AWAY FROM THIS WEEKEND

This weekend isn’t about what you make

It’s about what you feel

Over the course of the weekend, you’ll take away something far more valuable than anything physical

A chance to properly reconnect
Time that actually felt meaningful
Moments of laughter, ease, and understanding

You’ll leave with:

A deeper sense of closeness with each other

Conversations you haven’t had time for before

Shared memories that stay with you

A feeling of calm, connection, and space

Time that wasn’t rushed or distracted

And something even more important…

The reminder of how good it feels to simply be together

Sometimes, it’s not that anything is wrong

It’s just that life gets busy

Days fill up
Conversations get shorter
Time together becomes something you’ll “do later”

And before you know it, that closeness you had starts to feel a little further away

This weekend is a chance to pause

And come back to each other

Overview

Three days to slow down, reconnect, and spend real time together

A full weekend away from the busyness of everyday life

No rushing
No distractions
No trying to squeeze connection into already full days

Instead, you’ll have the space to simply be together

To talk
To laugh
To enjoy each other’s company in a way that often gets lost in day-to-day life

Everything is gently guided, but never forced

There’s time for shared experiences, time in nature, and time to just sit side by side without needing to be anywhere else

This weekend is held on our land in South West Wales

Surrounded by meadow and woodland, it naturally slows everything down

There’s space to breathe
Space to wander
Space to just be

And in that space, connection comes back naturall

By the end of the weekend, most people leave feeling:

Closer
Calmer
More connected

Not because anything was forced

But because they finally had the time to just be together

How the weekend gently unfolds

We move gently, but with intention.

There is space to settle, Space to play, Space to feel, Space to integrate.

You’re welcome to arrive from 10am on Friday to set up your tent or campervan, settle into the land and take your time.

The programme begins at 4pm.

We don’t rush you in.

There’s space to breathe before we begin.

🌿 DAY 1 — FRIDAY: ARRIVAL & SETTLING IN

You’re welcome to arrive from 2pm, giving you time to settle into your space and ease into the land

There’s no rush

Just time to arrive, unpack, and begin to unwind

We begin properly at 4pm, gently coming together as a group

In the evening, we share dinner together, followed by a relaxed welcome around the campfire

A chance to meet the other mums and daughters, chat, and start to feel at home

As the evening draws in, there’ll be hot chocolate, marshmallows, and s’mores around the fire

After that, you’re free to head to bed or stay by the fire talking for as long as you like

💛 DAY 2 — SATURDAY: TIME TOGETHER

Saturday is a full day to simply be together

We start with a relaxed breakfast, followed by a gentle mother and daughter pamper session

This is a hands-on, shared experience where daughters get to pamper their mums, and mums get to do the same in return

Simple, playful, and surprisingly powerful

A chance to slow down, be close, and enjoy that connection in a way that doesn’t often happen in everyday life

After lunch, we come together again for a creative reconnection session, giving you space to talk, share, and create together in a natural, easy way

Throughout the day, everything is taken care of

All meals, snacks, hot drinks, and cold drinks are included, so you can just help yourselves whenever you need

As the evening comes in, we gather for dinner, followed by time around the campfire

Hot chocolate, marshmallows, and s’mores… those simple moments that end up meaning the most

🌼 DAY 3 — SUNDAY: CLOSING & TAKING IT HOME

Sunday begins slowly, with a relaxed breakfast together

No rushing, just time to enjoy the final morning

We then come together for a gentle session focused on understanding the body and the natural changes your daughter is moving towards

Opening up simple, supportive conversations around growing up, cycles, and how to approach this stage in a way that feels positive and not something to be feared

Held in a calm, age-appropriate way that feels safe for both mums and daughters

After lunch, we close the weekend together

A simple, meaningful ending before heading home

Leaving feeling calmer, closer, and more connected

What past guests say about our Mother and daughter reconnection retreat

“We rarely get time together without pressure… this gave us that space.”

We keep our weekends small, relaxed and heart-led so you and your daughter can simply be together.

No pressure, no rushing, no expectations… just time to reconnect, breathe, and find your way back to each other.

Here are a few words from mums and daughters who’ve joined us before.

“She’d had a difficult year and we rarely get time together in a non-pressured environment.”

“I felt very welcome, there’s such a relaxed feeling and no pressure to attend anything she didn’t want to.

Since being home, she’s so much more open with me… and I’ve realised we can just be us, without trying to fit into what a mother and daughter relationship ‘should’ look like.

My daughter loved the whole experience.”

R Scarlett

“It was a lovely way to connect, enjoying the woods, nature and being free.”

“There were lots of things for the children to explore and play, and also time to just be together.

It felt like a relaxing, free trip… an amazing opportunity to just be and not have to rush with my daughter.”

N McEwan

“We attended Kathy’s Mother and Daughter Retreat last year and had the most wonderful time.”

The setting was beautiful, and the camping felt like luxury.

The activities struck the perfect balance between organised fun and relaxed free play, and it was such a treat to have all our meals prepared for us.

But more than anything, it was the uninterrupted time together that made it so special… time to reconnect, learn, and make memories we’ll always hold onto.

Spending that time together helped us realise how important it is to have dedicated time just the two of us, and we’ve promised each other that we’ll continue to make space for it.

Thank you, Kathy and Dave, for creating such a special experience and for welcoming us so warmly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Thinking of joining us but still have a few questions?
That’s completely normal… most people do before they book.

Here are some of the things we get asked the most, to help you feel clear and comfortable before you come

🌿 I’m not sure my daughter would want to come… what if she doesn’t enjoy it?

This is one of the most common worries.

The weekend is designed so there’s no pressure to join in with everything. Some girls dive straight in, others take their time, and both are completely okay.

Often it’s the shared space, the little moments, and just being together that end up meaning the most.

🌿 What if we’re not that close right now?

You’re not alone in that.

Many mums come because they can feel a bit of distance creeping in. This isn’t about forcing anything — it’s about creating the space for connection to come back naturally.

What’s included?

Your accommodation, all activities, and all meals are included.

So once you arrive, everything is taken care of — you can just focus on being together.

What is your refund policy?

All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If you cancel or do not attend for any reason, you will not receive a refund, so we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance.

If we have to cancel the workshop, you will be offered a transfer to another event or a credit voucher to use at a future event.

Where will I be staying?

You and your daughter will be staying in a 5m Bell Tent all to yourselves.

Inside your bell tent are proper single beds and all bedding, rugs and lights.

🌿 Is it structured, or do we have free time?

There’s a gentle flow to the weekend, with activities you can join, but also plenty of free time.

You can take part in everything, or step back and just spend time together — it’s completely up to you

🌿 Will we have our own space?

Yes.

You’ll have your own bell tent just for you and your daughter, so you’ve got that cosy, private space alongside the shared experience.

🌿 What ages is this suitable for?

The retreat is designed for girls aged 8–14.

It’s that in-between stage where connection can start to shift, and this weekend helps gently support that.

🌿 What if my daughter is shy or a bit anxious?

That’s absolutely okay.

There’s no pressure to speak, share, or join in before she’s ready. The space is gentle and welcoming, and children tend to settle in their own time.

If you can feel the distance creeping in… this weekend is for you

As our daughters grow, life gets busier, and those moments together become fewer and further between.

This weekend gives you that time back.

Time to reconnect, laugh, talk, and simply be together again
