Limited spaces to keep the weekend small, hands-on and personal.
There was a time when this knowledge belonged to everyone.
People knew how to care for their families.
How to make remedies.
How to work with plants.
How to treat everyday illnesses at home.
Somewhere along the way, we lost that knowledge.
This weekend is about bringing it back.
You will spend the weekend learning how to make traditional, ancestral remedies — the kind that would once have been found in every home.
Hands-on. In real life. With real ingredients.
Not watching. Not just listening.
Doing. Making. Learning. Taking home.
To help you decide if this weekend workshop is the right fit, here is a clear snapshot of the key details and who it is for
You want to learn how to look after yourself and your family using natural remedies.
You’re interested in herbal medicine, natural first aid, and traditional plant remedies.
You want to become more confident dealing with everyday illnesses at home.
You like the idea of traditional, ancestral skills that used to be passed down through families.
You enjoy hands-on learning rather than sitting in a classroom all day.
You want a weekend on the land learning something genuinely useful.
You want to meet like-minded people and learn skills that you will use for the rest of your life.
Over the weekend, you will learn:
How our ancestors used plants as medicine
How to make herbal tinctures
How to make healing balms and salves
How to make herbal syrups for coughs and immune support
How to make oxymels (honey and vinegar remedies)
How to make herbal teas for common illnesses
How to make natural first aid remedies
How to build your own home herbal remedy kit
How to use these remedies safely and confidently at home.
This weekend is for people who feel drawn to a simpler, more connected way of living.
People who want to learn real skills and become more confident looking after their health naturally.
It’s for you if you:
Want to rely less on the chemist for every small thing
Want to learn how to make your own remedies
Are interested in herbal medicine and natural health
Like the idea of traditional, ancestral skills
Want practical, hands-on knowledge you can actually use
Want to feel more self-reliant and capable
Love the idea of learning these skills in nature, not in a classroom
What You Will Take Home
This is a hands-on weekend, so you won’t just be watching — you’ll be making.
Over the course of the weekend, you will make and take home 5 of your own ancestral remedies, which may include:
A herbal tincture
A healing balm or salve
A herbal syrup for coughs, colds or immune support
An oxymel (a traditional honey and vinegar remedy)
Herbal tea blends
A natural first aid remedy
A steam blend for colds and sinuses
All ingredients and equipment are provided, and you will take home everything you make.
But more importantly, you’ll take home something even more valuable than the bottles and jars…
You’ll leave knowing how to make your own remedies at home, how to use them safely, and how to look after yourself and your family using skills that have been used for generations.
This is one of those skills that, once you know it, you know it for life.
Many people tell us this is the weekend that changes how they look after their family forever.
This is a full weekend of hands-on learning where you’ll be making traditional herbal remedies, learning ancestral knowledge and building the confidence to look after your own health and your family naturally at home.

Everything we do is practical. You won’t just be listening — you’ll be making remedies, working with plants, and learning skills that were once passed down through families.
This is knowledge you can actually use in real life — not something that gets forgotten when you get home.
The weekend is held on our land in South West Wales, and people stay here camping or in their campervans, which means the weekend feels relaxed and unhurried. There’s time to sit around the fire, talk, share knowledge and be around other people who are interested in the same things
.
Many people come on their own and don’t know anyone else when they arrive. By the end of the weekend, people have usually made new friends as well as learned new skills.
We move gently, but with intention.
There is space to settle, Space to play, Space to feel, Space to integrate.
You’re welcome to arrive from 10am on Friday to set up your tent or campervan, settle into the land and take your time.
The programme begins at 4pm.
We don’t rush you in.
There’s space to breathe before we begin.
Saturday is a full day together, gently held and unhurried. There is space to move, learn, rest and connect, with plenty of breathing room in between.
There will be a mixture of:
Making herbal tinctures
Making healing balms and salves
Making herbal syrups
Making oxymels
Blending herbal teas
Learning about natural first aid remedies
Understanding how and when to use each remedy
Troubleshooting and common mistakes
This is a hands-on day — you will be making throughout the day.
Sunday is about finishing your remedies, packing, labelling and making sure you feel confident to continue at home.
We take time to go over:
How to store your remedies
How long they last
How and when to use them
How to build your own home remedy kit
Where to source ingredients and supplies
How to continue making remedies at home
We finish mid-day so people have time to travel home safely, with their remedies and the knowledge to continue.
We keep our workshops small and hands-on so everyone can be involved, ask questions and actually learn by doing.
Here are a few words from people who have joined us before.
"So many times I feel I am doing life alone and I know from my inner strength I can do it alone, but this weekend I found connection and felt a real sisterhood. You realise through love, laughter and feeling safe that there are others out there who will stand by you.
Thank you Kathy for creating that space, and thank you to everyone for their love, energy and most of all laughter."
"Everyone needs to do at least one Herbal Remedies weekend. The knowledge is invaluable and you leave feeling more confident to look after yourself and help others. Absolutely fabulous weekend, with the beautiful bonus of reconnecting with an inspiring group of people."
"Such a beautiful weekend. I learnt so much, and when I went on my dog walk the next morning I was looking at all the plants with a completely new set of eyes. Thank you for such a great weekend of knowledge"

Thinking about coming but still have a few questions? You’re not alone. Here’s what people usually want to know.
No, not at all. This weekend is suitable for complete beginners as well as those who already have an interest in herbs and natural remedies. Everything is taught step-by-step and you will learn by doing, not just by listening.
During the weekend, you will learn how to grow, harvest, prepare and make your own herbal remedies. This may include tinctures, oils, salves, teas and other herbal preparations depending on the season and what plants are available.
You will be making your own remedies to take home with you.
Your ticket includes:
All workshops and teaching across the weekend
All materials and ingredients needed for the remedies you make
Camping on the land (tent or campervan)
A full weekend learning experience in nature

Yes, many people come on their own. The weekend is very friendly and relaxed, and people usually get to know each other very quickly because you are learning and making things together
After booking, you will be sent a full “What to Bring” list, but in general you will need:
Your tent or campervan (unless glamping)
Bedding or sleeping bag
Warm clothes and waterproofs
Notebook and pen
Mug and water bottle
Suitable outdoor footwear
This workshop will still go ahead in most weather conditions — this is Wales after all, and the rain is what keeps everything so beautifully green.
We have indoor and covered spaces available, so the weekend will still run even if the weather is wet. Some parts of the weekend, such as plant walks and foraging, will still take place outdoors, so please bring suitable clothing, waterproofs and sturdy footwear.
Only in very extreme or unsafe weather conditions would we need to postpone the workshop. If this happens, you will be offered a transfer to another date or a credit voucher.
Come and spend a weekend on the land learning traditional, practical skills that used to be passed down through families — and take home remedies, knowledge and confidence that will stay with you for life.
Limited spaces so everyone gets proper support
